Battle Born Yoga Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that introduces yoga and meditation to veterans and service members in our community by offering free classes and workshops. Mindfulness practices such as yoga and meditation can play an integral role in how our veterans and service members transition through their daily lives. Offering all classes that are trauma and anxiety sensitive, culturally appropriate and supported by evidence-based research, Battle Born Yoga Project provides our veterans and service members a way to regroup, reassess and overcome.

About The Founder
All I have is the simple gift of yoga. It’s not nearly enough to thank them
for their sacrifice but I give it whole-heartedly.
I hold a deep admiration for those who have served or are serving our country. This is the heart of why Battle Born Yoga Project was created. This program has been to completely support our veterans and service members find ease in their lives, even if its just for a moment.
I often get asked why I started to teach yoga exclusively to veterans. The honest truth is, I am not a fighter but my admiration for those who were able to overcome the fear and uncertainty that it takes to become a soldier is weaved into my everyday life. All I have is compassion and my ability to try to be open to their experiences. Yoga is my life’s work and passing it on to those who embody all that many of us could not do is an honor.
